Our Theatre Company

Hand of Doom Productions is an independent theatre company based in Kent, UK. We write, direct and produce new writing for the stage and less traditional venues, like hotels, coffee shops and pubs. Our passion is getting new work in front of interested audiences, whatever the format. Our output ranges from from plays and live comedy, to performance poetry and storytelling.

To date our theatre company has produced short plays, as full productions and rehearsed readings, and live storytelling evenings. Our first production, SAFE WORD, was well-received by audiences and critics alike:

“Astute, witty and honest” – theatrebath.co.uk

“Laugh out loud funny” – Bath Chronicle

“★★★★★ Loved this gentle comedy” – London Theatre 1

We are currently working on a touring Christmas production, an evening of short plays by local writers and a Christmas storytelling event. To keep up to date on our latest productions, news and opportunities, please keep an eye on our blog and Facebook page.

Hand of Doom Productions is a collective of producers, directors, writers and performers, working together to put on shows throughout the year. We are also lucky to have the support of several local venues and we are keen to hear from others that would like to host new writing shows and events.

We’re always interested to hear from actors, writers, comedians and poets who want to get themselves or their work on stage (or in other venues). We also like directors and technicians. In fact, if you’re interested in getting involved in some way or other with our productions, we want to hear from you. Please get in touch with us.

Our name is a reference to the innate clumsiness of one of our members. She knows who she is and if you’ve met her, you will too. Best not let her hold your drink, that’s all we’re saying.
